Philip A. Bibeau: WPMA's Legendary Executive Director
Philip A. Bibeau will forever be remembered as a transformative leader and the legendary Executive Director of the Wood Products Manufacturers Association (WPMA). His unwavering dedication, vision, and heartfelt leadership defined his tenure and left an enduring legacy in the wood products industry.
Philip joined WPMA in 1995 as the Director of Association Services and quickly became a cornerstone of the organization. His commitment to the association’s mission and his deep understanding of the challenges faced by small to mid-sized manufacturers set him apart. In 2000, he was appointed Executive Director, a role in which he served with distinction for over two decades until his retirement in 2021.
During his time as Executive Director, Philip guided WPMA through periods of growth and change, ensuring it remained a vital resource for its members. He expanded the association’s influence by building strong industry networks, providing invaluable educational programs, and organizing events that brought members together to share knowledge and foster collaboration.
Philip’s leadership was not merely about organizational growth—it was about people. His genuine care for WPMA members and his ability to connect on a personal level made him more than a leader; he was a mentor, confidant, and friend to many. Philip’s kindness, humility, and steadfast dedication earned him the admiration and respect of colleagues and members alike.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Lori, and their beloved dog, Piper. Lori and Philip shared an inseparable bond, spending nearly every moment together for 27 years. His passing marks an immeasurable loss for Lori and those who knew him.
He is also survived by his family. He was preceded in death by his father, Albert Bibeau, who passed away on December 7, 2008. He leaves behind a legacy of love, dedication, and an enduring example of humanity at its finest.
